Edducational History

After receiving my B.A. in English, I went on to get my Master's degree.

I specialized in the 1995 version of instructional design: English with an emphasis in Business Communications.

I taught Freshman English and Technical Writing, thereby learning the fundamentals of good instructional design on my feet. 

For my thesis project, I developed a specialized English instruction class specifically for for engineering students.

The class "attached" to their senior Capstone projects, and the instruction, although deeply rooted in learning theory, was flexible and dynamic rather than pre-planned and prescribed. Many classes were workshops. 

By week five, other Capstone students began attending (without receiving credit) because they were so impressed by the communication and written skills that those enrolled in the class were developing.
